There are many causes of Erectile Dysfunction. Some of them are as follows:
- Endocrine disorder: Endocrine system is responsible for releasing the hormone for sexual functions and reproduction. Diabetes mellitus is one of the types of endocrine disorder which causes impotency.
- Neurological disorder: Neurological disorders can affect men's ability to be sexually active. Disorders include Alzheimer's, brain or spinal injury, tumour and epilepsy.
- Lifestyle and Psychological factors: Depression, anxiety, fatigue and stress may cause erectile dysfunction. Drug abuse/addiction, cigarette smoking, and excessive alcohol intake may also cause erectile dysfunction.
