Emergency Contraceptive Pill

The emergency contraceptive pill (ECP) is a pill that is taken after unprotected sex to prevent pregnancy.

Some pharmacists are trained in selling the ECP for unprotected sex within 72 hours (3 days). This requires a short confidential consultation with the person wanting the ECP and a pharmacist in a private area. The consultation usually takes 5 to 10 minutes and involves asking a couple of questions to make sure the medication is right for you. There is a cost of this medication.

If you require the ECP, drop into the pharmacy and ask for a pharmacist or message below.
